CVR (Conversion Rate)

What is CVR?

CVR stands for "Conversion Rate." It measures the percentage of users who completed a desired action, such as making a purchase or filling out a form, after clicking on an advertisement. CVR is a critical metric in evaluating the effectiveness of ad campaigns in driving conversions and achieving business goals.

How to measure CVR?

CVR is calculated by dividing the number of conversions by the total number of impressions and multiplying by 100 to get a percentage.

CVR = (Conversions) / (Impressions) * 100

Example: If an ad campaign generates 100 conversions from 10,000 impressions, the CVR would be 1%.

Why is CVR important to marketers?

CVR provides insights into the effectiveness of ad campaigns in converting impressions into desired actions, such as purchases or sign-ups. A high CVR indicates that the ad campaign is resonating with the target audience and driving meaningful direct responses, while a low CVR may indicate a creative to landing page mismatch, disinterest in the product, audience over-saturation, and more.
